The same is true of multi-play video poker, the strategy and return is the same for a single line game. I do get into the volatility of multi-play video poker in my video poker appendix 3. First, I’d like to say I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your site and the information found therein. What Strategy Should Be Used on Multi-Hand Video Poker? You may be wondering whether the strategy you have used on a single-hand video poker will have to change once you switch to a multi-play. High limit video poker, video slots $250 per hand, video poker strategy. Jacks or better, Live Play. Poker action at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

  1. A multi hand video poker game is exactly what it says it is—you play a number of separate hands simultaneously, each representing a separate bet. The most common multihand versions offer 3, 5, 10, 50 or 100 simultaneous hands. Since the strategy doesn’t change, however, each hand requires an individual max bet.
  2. HOW A VIDEO POKER STRATEGY CHART IS ARRANGED. The strategy charts for all non-wild card games are organized the same way. The hand with the highest average return goes at the top of the strategy chart. For most video poker pay tables that hand is the royal flush. It is followed by lower paying hands and partial hands.

Multi-Streak Poker video poker lets you reap the rewards of an excellent deal for several hands to come. If you make an extra wager on each of your Triple Play hands, you have the opportunity to gain multipliers for future hands. And if you get those great deals in relatively short succession, the multipliers can really pile up.

For those who play it regularly, there’s no game in casinos or online gambling websites quite like video poker. It combines the strategic play of table games with the relaxed vibes of slot machines. And it provides the kind of regular payback that allows players to make a profit off the game if they play the cards right, both literally and figuratively.

Video poker games come in many styles and formats. On the one hand, the pay tables vary so you can play just about any style you prefer. And, on the other hand, you can take advantage of games with special features if you want a twist on basic gameplay.

What’s Different About Multi-Streak Poker?

Multi-Streak Poker video poker combines the two aspects we mentioned above. The game lets you play any popular pay table you can imagine. And, for those who want to up their bet, it also allows you the chance to play with an exciting extra feature.

You’ll be playing three hands of video poker at a time when you sign on for Multi-Streak Poker video poker, making for extremely fast-paced action. And when you double your normal bet, you’ll have the chance for lucrative multipliers.

These multipliers come up whenever you manage a winning hand on the deal before the draw even arrives. When you do, Multi-Streak Poker video poker will sort of pay your multipliers over as many as the next three hands.

On top of that, if you have a winning streak, those multipliers will start to add up on top of each other. If you can keep it rolling with great deals, you could be looking at a multiplier as high as 10 times what your winnings would be. That kind of boost can turn an average payout into a massive one in a hurry.

Multi-Streak Poker video poker stands out because it doesn’t require you to learn an extra strategy. The game will keep track of all the multipliers that you earn. When you step up to the plate for each set of three hands, you’ll know what the current multiplier is so that you can make informed decisions about the hand.

Yet it’s fair to say there are some drawbacks to Multi-Streak Poker video poker. First and foremost, it’s extremely expensive to play the game with the special features attached. You’ll be playing three hands at a time, at 10 coins per hand for a whopping 30 coins in a single round.

On top of that, there will be times when you earn multipliers that will go unused. That will occur when you come empty on a trio of hands for which a multiplier is in place. As a result, the game might not always provide the kinds of bonuses you might expect considering how much it costs to play.

In the following article, we’ll provide you with an in-depth explanation of an exploration into the game known as Multi-Streak Poker video poker. We’ll show you to play a basic hand and how the system of multipliers works. Finally, we’ll also talk about the pay tables open to you and how you can devise the ideal strategy.

Learning Basic Video Poker

When you play Multi-Streak Poker video poker, you’ll essentially be playing hands of the most basic video poker format. Once you learn that basic format, you can play Multi-Streak Poker. Come to think of it, you’ll be able to play just about any other variation you might encounter, either at casinos or as part of online gambling sites.

What you’ll find, if you’ve never played video poker before, is that it’s extremely friendly to bettors. On the one hand, you don’t have to worry about the pressure that sometimes comes with playing table games. Video poker is generally set off in a section of the casino near slot machines, where you can play at a machine without hassles from anyone else.

But don’t confuse video poker with slot machines. Slot machines are generally a random experience. You have no control over the game, you won’t have any idea about the frequency with which winning spins arrive, and you can’t know whether the machine you’re playing is any better or worse than the one next to you in terms of payback.

Video poker lays all of that out on a platter for you. You can utilize strategy to improve your chances of winning. And you have probabilities within the game, that can show you both how often you can expect winning hands and what your overall payback will be.

In terms of that payback, even the lowest-paying video poker games usually outrank slot machines. And the best-paying video poker games are quite competitive with the top table games as well. You get convenience and excellent payback all in one package.

On top of all that, video poker can be played online without losing any of the traits that make it so special. Some table games don’t translate that well to online play. But you can play video poker for real money at top gambling websites and feel just like you were playing in the casino.

As you can tell, video poker holds a lot of benefits for gamblers. And it’s pretty easy to learn. Take a look at how it works:

Step 1: Create a Bankroll

The bankroll is the money you enter into the machine. If you do happen to be playing online, you’ll create an account at the website you’re using to make your bankroll. You’ll use the bankroll to bet, and any winnings that you amass will go into it.

You’ll see your bankroll represented on the screen as coins or credits. Each of these units will be equal to the denomination of the machine (or online game) that you’ve been chosen. Simply multiply the credits you have by the denomination to know how much money you have in your bankroll at any time.

Step 2: Make a Bet

When you’re playing Multi-Streak Poker video poker, your betting procedure will be a little bit different than if you were playing a regular machine. For one, Multi-Streak Poker is only played in triple play mode, which means you’ll be playing three hands at a time. You’ll have to bet on each hand.

In addition, Multi-Streak Poker video poker allows you the opportunity to play two different ways. You can play the game normally without any extra features, in which case, you can bet one through five coins per hand. Or you can play with the extra multipliers feature added, which will cost you 10 coins per hand.

Since the highest payback percentages in Multi-Streak Poker video poker are available with the extra feature in play, we recommend the full wager. That means 30 coins per round of video poker, since you’ll be betting 10 coins for each of your three hands.

You’ll be making a relatively expensive commitment to play Multi-Streak Poker video poker. But you’ll be short-changing yourself in the long run without the special feature in place. If you think that kind of betting is too much, we recommend you play a different machine.

If you do choose to play the game without the extra feature, we recommend that you at least bet five coins per hand for a total of 15 per round. At five coins wagered, the payout for the royal flush, which is the most lucrative hand in the game, will be significantly higher (800 to 1) than it would be for one through four coins played (250 to 1).

Step 3: Play a Hand

Video poker strategy

We’ll get to how the multipliers work in Multi-Streak Poker video poker in a minute. For now, let’s just get the mechanics of playing a hand of video poker down. It’s a really simple process, one that’s very similar to Five-Card Draw Poker, a popular card game.

The goal is to make the best possible hand out a five-card deal and a draw round where you get to replace the cards you don’t want with others from the deck. Five-Card Draw requires you to beat everyone else at the table. But video poker just requires you to achieve one of the winning hands from the pay table.

What are those winning hands? Well, as you’ll see when we check out the pay tables for Multi-Streak Poker video poker below, different variations of video poker will offer payouts for different hands. But, for the most part, you’ll be trying to make one of the following hands:

  • Pair of jacks or better
  • Two pair
  • Three of a kind
  • Straight (five cards of consecutive rank, like 3-4-5-6-7)
  • Flush (five cards of same suit)
  • Full house (three of a kind and two pair in the same hand)
  • Four of a kind
  • Straight flush (straight with five cards of same suit)
  • Royal flush (ten, jack, queen, king, and ace of the same suit)

The hands at the top of the list are ones you’ll be able to make relatively often when playing video poker, based on the probabilities involved in a 52-card deck. As you move down the list, you’ll find that the hands listed occur on a much less frequent basis during gameplay. For the most part, the rarer the hand occurs, the more it pays.

Once you make your bet, you’ll receive five cards on the screen. You’ll assess these to see if any of the combinations of cards resemble the winning combinations above. Sometimes, you might have a winning hand right off the bat on the deal.

More often than not, though, you’ll need to improve your hand on the draw. You get to choose which cards (if any) you want to keep and which (if any) you want to discard. The ones you discard will get replaced by ones from a deck containing 47 cards (52 minus the 5 you were originally dealt).

You’ll make your decisions based on the probability of getting a winning hand and how much that hand pays. There will be certain times where it makes sense to play it safe and go for a common, low-paying hand. And there will be other times when your best play will be to go for a rare but high-paying hand.

We’ll go over that when we get to strategy section below. For now, just know you’ll press the buttons below the cards you want to keep then the hit the draw button. The cards will be replaced, the machine will assess to see if you’ve won the hand, and any winnings will be added to your bankroll.

That’s how real money video poker, in its most basic sense, works. Now, we can move on the Triple Play and bonus features of Multi-Streak Poker video poker.

Playing Three Hands at Once

The first part of Multi-Streak Poker video poker that’s a little different than a basic game is that it is played in Triple Play mode. That means that you’ll be playing three hands at once.

As we talked about above, you have to make a bet on each hand. And there’s no opting out. Multi-Streak Poker video poker only comes in Triple Play mode, so you must be prepared to bet those credits.

When playing in Triple Play, you will still only receive one deal. But that deal will then account for all three hands. The decision you make about what to hold and what to discard will be played out three times.

For example, let’s take a look at the following deal:

This is pretty much a no-brainer in terms of your decision. The pair of aces are already a winning combination on most of the pay tables available on Multi-Streak Poker video poker. Your best play is to hold those two cards and discard the rest.

Let’s take a look at how that works for three hands. The draw could go like this:

Hand 1:

Hand 2:

Multi Hand Video Poker Strategy Tactics

Hand 3:

The first hand improved to two pair, and the second hand to three of a kind. You would get paid for both of those hands according to the pay table. Unfortunately, the third hand didn’t improve, but the other two will compensate and let you walk away with a profit.

You might notice the five of hearts appears in two different hands. That’s because the draws come from three separate decks which contain the 47 cards remaining after the five-card deal. As a result, it’s possible to see the same card show up in multiple draws.

The Multipliers on Multi-Streak Poker Video Poker

Multipliers add spice to video poker by amplifying winnings. It’s a simple concept. Whatever the multiplier, multiply that by the credits you won on the hand to get your total.

In other words, let’s say you have a 4x multiplier in place for a hand. You make a hand that normally pays off 10 coins. As a result, your total winnings are 40 coins, or 4 times 10.

In Multi-Streak Poker video poker, the multipliers come into play whenever you receive a winning hand on the deal. These multipliers will be added as far ahead as your next three hands. How much each winning hand adds is dependent upon which pay table you happen to be playing.

Let’s take a look at a sample. These are the multipliers that come into play when you choose a Jacks or Better pay table. The first number is the multiplier that will be added to the first hand following the current one, the second number is the multiplier that will be added to the second hand following the current one, and the third number is the multiplier that will be added to the third hand following the multiplier:

  • Pair (6 through 10): 1-0-0
  • Pair (jack through ace): 1-1-0
  • Two pair: 3-2-2
  • Three of a kind: 4-2-2
  • Straight: 4-3-2
  • Flush: 4-3-2
  • Full house: 4-3-2
  • Four of a kind: 2-2-2
  • Straight flush: 1-1-1
  • Royal flush: 1-1-1

Multipliers earned from separate hands can be added to each other. And the machine will keep track of all this, so you won’t have to worry about anything other than playing our current three hands.

Let’s say that you’re playing Multi-Streak Poker video poker on a Jacks or Better pay table and you are dealt two pair on your first hand. That entitles you to add 3x to the first hand after the current one, 2x to the second hand, and 2x to the third hand.

When we say add the multiplier, we mean to the existing one. Remember that every round will have an implied multiplier of 1x. That means that you can expect at least a 4x multiplier in your next hand (3x plus 1x) and a 3x multiplier in the next two (2x plus 1x).

You play out your deal in the current hand in Triple Play just as you always would. Your winnings would not yet have a multiplier. They only go into play on subsequent hands.

Now, let’s say that you get to the next hand. Remember that you will receive 4x for whatever winnings you earn from that round of Triple Play. You are dealt a pair of sixes.

Referring to the chart above, you will then get another 1x multiplier for the next hand after the current one. We’ve already established that hand with a 3x multiplier from the earlier two pair deal. Adding another 1x multiplier to that gives you 4x.

Even though the 1x was only added to the next hand, you still have a 3x coming two hands ahead thanks to the earlier two pair. You don’t lose those even if nothing gets added to them. And on and on it goes. You can see why the game is known as Multi-Streak Poker video poker. The better your streak of winning deals, the bigger the boost to your payback.

Keep in mind that the maximum amount of the streak that you can achieve when playing Multi-Streak Poker video poker is 10x. In other words, if you should have an 8x already attached to a hand and earn a 4x for that hand, it would only add up to 10x.

The multipliers help to compensate for the fact that you will be betting 10 coins per hand for what is essentially a five-coin payoff. No matter the pay table you choose, the extra feature will add to your payback percentage, making it the best way to play Multi-Streak Poker video poker. You just have to make sure you have the budget to be able to withstand the 30-coin hit every time you play a round.

Pay Tables and Payback Percentages for Multi-Streak Poker

Pay tables show you how much you will get from each winning hand. They will also demonstrate what kind of strategy you should be using. And the pay table will also go hand in hand with the payback percentage, which essentially gives you an idea of what you can expect to gain or lose when playing the game.

Multi-Streak Poker video poker is what’s known as an umbrella video poker game. In other words, you can find many different pay tables underneath the umbrella and use the extra feature with all of them. Just be aware that the threshold for and level of the multipliers will differ slightly with each pay table.

Below is a sample of the pay tables you can find playing Multi-Streak Poker video poker. The ones we’ve listed are the full-pay versions of each. In other words, the payback percentage that each produces will be higher than any other similar table you can find on a Multi-Streak Poker game.

The fact that these are full-pay tables also means you might find other pay tables that don’t return as much. You’ll be able to see the differences in payouts for certain key hands, usually mid-priced ones like the full house or the flush. These lowered payouts will also reduce your payback percentages.

What exactly is a payback percentage? Well, it’s a figure that can be reached by combining the payouts for each hand with the probabilities of making each hand. It also assumes the player is making the right decision for every single hand they play, which we’ll explain more when we get to strategy.

In terms of payback percentage, you should be looking for one that’s at least 99%. This is especially the case if you’re planning on playing the game often and hoping to grind out a profit.

When you’re getting 99% back from the money that you put into the machine as your bankroll, you will only be suffering a 1% loss. You can make those minimal losses up easily from casino rewards or loyalty programs at online gambling sites.

As for those who will only be playing the game casually, payback percentage won’t matter too much to you. Your outcome will be dictated by luck more than anything else.

Here are the payback percentages for the full-pay versions listed above:

  • Jacks or Better: 98.7%
  • Bonus Poker: 97.2%
  • Bonus Poker Deluxe: 98.3%
  • Double Double Bonus: 98.6%
  • Triple Double Bonus: 98.5%
  • Deuces Wild: 98.5%
  • Bonus Deuces Wild: 98.3%

Video Poker Strategy for Multi-Streak Poker

As we said above, the only way you can achieve the payback percentages listed above is if you make the right decision for what to hold and what to discard each and every hand you play. That’s known as perfect play. And it’s not that easy to achieve, especially with a game like Multi-Streak Poker video poker.

First of all, you have all of those different pay tables from which to choose. And you can’t use the same strategy for each. Different tables require certain hands to be played different ways.
Take a look at the following deal:

If you were playing a Jacks or Better pay table, the right play would be to hold on to the two pair. You’d definitely get a 2 to 1 payout. Plus, you could possibly go for a full house.
But what if you were playing this deal on a Triple Double Bonus pay table? Two pair only pays off even money in that case.

Plus, the premium placed on four of a kind with aces is extremely high. Therefore, the right play for that pay table would be to keep just the aces. With three cards discarded, you’d have more chances to improve them into something lucrative.

Multi-Streak Poker video poker also makes strategy a bit trickier because of the multiplier concept. Knowing that you’re playing a round where you have a multiplier coming to you might change the strategy. You might be more likely to play it safe and go for a common hand, knowing you’ll have the multiplier to boost it.

All of this might make the possibility of learning perfect play seem remote. But you can make it happen if you get some help.

Our first suggestion is to decide on a pay table that you’re most likely to play on a Multi-Streak Poker video poker. This way, you can concentrate on learning the right moves for that pay table and not have to worry about all the others.

Then, you need to look up one of the following two methods of improving your play.

Video Poker Software

If you buy this software instead of just downloading a free version, you can usually get what you need when it comes to a more complex game like Multi-Streak Poker video poker. The free ones likely won’t give you the option of customizing the instruction to the specific pay tables and extra features.

Using video poker software over time will teach you all the right plays through repetition. You’ll eventually come upon just about every type of deal you might encounter when playing the game for real. The software will instruct you what the right play is for each.

Strategy Charts

This method can come in handy if you’re good at memorization. You also need to make sure that you can find a pay table accurate to Multi-Streak Poker video poker. Luckily, this game is relatively popular in casinos and online, so you should be able to do that.

Video poker strategy charts rank all of the card combinations that you might receiving on the deal. Memorizing these rankings will let you know which combinations are the most valuable to you. And that, in turn, will also let you know which cards you should drop.

Conclusion on Multi-Streak Poker Video Poker

Multi-Streak Poker video poker really benefits you if you can put together a run of excellent deals. Those multipliers can really push your profits up in a hurry. But a streak in the other direction can be much more damaging on this game because of the high cost to play it.
